CO-ORGANIZERS AND PARTNERS
The main coorganizers of the festival are: the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of the town of Varna. They provide about 50% of the overall budget of the festival and support it organizationally, technically and informationally. The rest of the means come from box-office income, projects before different foundations and organizations and sponsors. In fact the festival consists of a number of modules, each of which has got its own aims, organization and budget /this often supposes new coorganizers of the respective events/.
The partners of BAT during the carrying out of the festival are the host theatres - "Stoyan Buchvarov" Drama Theatre and Puppet Theatre Varna whose stages are used for presentation of the festival performances. BAT also collaborates with the Art Gallery in Varna for chamber performances and workshops; Archaeological Museum - Varna- its yard has been turned into the festival open-air stage; the Festival and Congress Centre - Varna- for projections, theoretical conferences and discussions.
The festival enjoys the interest of the media. It is also visited by foreign managers, directors of festivals, journalists and numerous spectators - every year about 10 000 people come to see the festival performances.Up till now the festival has realized a number of projects supported by different programs and organizations such as: the Kaleidoscope and the Phare Program of the EC, the British Council, the French Institute, Goethe Institute, Pro Helvetia Foundation, etc.
