The exhibition “THEATRE IN VARNA” includes original photos and documents from the archive’s fund of the foundation of a theatre company of the town in 1921, its maintenance and financing, of the building of the theatre. Exhibited are also letters, directors’ notes, memoirs, posters, program books, photos of performances, that present emblematic for Drama Theatre – Varna persons – managers, directors, actors.

The photoexhibition collects shots from the most interesting moments of Varna theatre troupe’s life during the last three years. It consists out from two parts:
“The actors at close” presents 23 portraits of actors at DT “Stoyan Bachvarov” – Varna
“The stage, the performances” includes shots of 14 performances, created on the stage of Drama Theatre – Varna in the period 2003 – 2006.
EXHIBITION: “SCENIC SPACES”
Set design projects by Todor Ignatov
The exhibition presents 7 miniature models of set design projects and several set design etudes by Todor Ignatov on the occasion of his 65th anniversary and 25 years artistic activity.

EXHIBITION: 150 YEARS BULGARIAN THEATRE: FROM THE SHUMEN POZORISTE TO DRUMEV THEATRE DAYS”

In 2006 is celebrated 150-years anniversary since the first theatre performance in Bulgaria – “Mihal Mishkoed” by Sava Dobroplodny in Shumen. The exhibition features printed materials from the libraries’ and cultural institutions’ funds in Shumen. The selection includes first prints of plays by Bulgarian playwrights, drama manuscripts, first translations of plays from the period before and after Bulgaria’s liberation, first issues and first publications of dramaturgical attempts, theatrical memoirs, writings about the great names of Bulgarian theatre, photo - archives.
The exponents are from the funds of Drama and Puppet Theatre “Vassil Drumev”, Regional library “Stilian Chilingirov”, Regional Museum of History, University “Bishop Konstantin Preslavsky” – Shumen, State archive, Cultural club “Dobry Voinikov” and the House-museum “Dobry Voinikov”.
